Miami FL Real Estate Agents have Protocols Too

Miami FL real estate agents will play an important role in the purchase of your home if you choose to work with one when searching for and buying your new residence. The agent will most likely work on commission. They are very rarely paid a salary, so they depend on selling homes for their paycheck. Consider this when you ask one to help you find the Miami FL real estate that you will ultimately purchase.

Show common courtesy and if you make an appointment, show up. Do not just forget or if something does come up, make sure you call and let them know. Don’t expect them to show you a home on a moment’s notice either. They are busy and cannot drop everything just to run and show you a home. They do have other clients.

Choose a Miami FL real estate agent if you want to work with one but if you decide to work with the listing agents, do not call one to help you find a home. The listing agent works for the seller and you really need someone to work for you. The buying agent or real estate agent will have your interests in mind when helping you to find a home.

When choosing an agent, find one that you are comfortable with by interviewing several before making a decision. You should expect to sign an agreement with the agent when you choose the one you will be working with. This will explain their duties to you and should not be signed if you are not ready for the agent to show you Miami FL real estate. There will also be an agency disclosure that is required to be given to you by law. It is merely a disclosure, not an agreement. All this means is you have an agent who will work on your behalf.

If you do not understand any of the forms you are asked to sign, ask the agent to explain them to you. Never sign anything unless you know what you are signing. A form that is titled Consent to Represent More than One Buyer should never be signed. This is not in your interests and if an agent asks you to sign this, you need to shop around for another Miami FL real estate agent.

Be ready to buy the Miami FL real estate that you choose. If you are not ready to buy, you should take some time before getting an agent to work with you. Shopping and buying are two different things and the agent works with people who are ready to buy.
