Versace Mansion Listing Announcement Grabs Media Attention

The Jills announcement of Casa Casuarina (Versace Mansion) hitting the real estate market at $125 Million Dollars has become one of the hottest stories in the country. Hundreds of print media outlets and thousands of internet media outlets have featured this story – and the story continues to spread through national and international outlets.

CBS News was one of the first to republish the news in an article titled “Versace Mansion on the Market for $125 Million” with commentary features of the property stating, “Originally built in 1930, the 10-bedroom, 11-bathroom, gated home features a 54-foot long, thousand mosaic pool. The pool is lined in 24-karat gold, numerous frescos, ornate statues, arched doorways and an open air courtyard”.

Forbes Magazine published an article titled, “Why The $125 Million Versace Mansion Will Find A Buyer”. Commentary in the article included, “Perhaps it’s not that surprising (the mansion will sell). Casa Casuarina is quite the trophy property...the estate sits in a prime location: waterfront on Ocean Drive in bustling Miami Beach, behind gates”.

CNN published the story as well titled “Versace's former South Beach mansion for sale: $125 million” with additional information on the property, “The house was built in 1930 by architect, philanthropist, author and political reformer Alden Freeman, and its design was inspired by the oldest existing house in the Western Hemisphere, the "Alcazar de Colon" in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic”.

The Huffington Post also posted the story elaborating on work done by Versace himself on the mansion, “Versace bought the Mediterranean-style villa at 1116 Ocean Drive in 1992. He then spent $33 million expanding and outfitting the property with features like museum-quality al frescos”.
