The South Florida Business Journal announced that Jill Hertzberg and Jill Eber were among the Top 15 Influential Business Women in South Florida. Other recipients include leaders in finance, technology, healthcare, hospitality, development, and public service, and The Jills were honored to be among this outstanding group of women.
The luncheon and awards presentation took place on Thursday May 21 at the Signature Grand in Davie, FL. and was sponsored by FIU University.
Both Jill Hertzberg and Jill Eber were asked this one question;
“How do you define an “Influential Business Woman” and how do you believe someone becomes one?”
Jill Hertzberg offered the following comment,
It would be a woman who really stands out in their industry and not only excelled in what they do but also reached out into the community and shared their talents to help others achieve more in their industry. I also believe that women who give their time, talent and resources to charitable enterprises are also influential. Writing a check is a good thing for a charity, but giving your time and talent – that can be priceless. – Jill Hertzberg
Jill Eber offered a similar comment,
I believe an influential woman is a woman who has an impact on the community in her field, as well as giving her time and resources to both charities and women figuring out how to make their way. I only know one way to become an influential business woman, which is the way I did it – hard work, passion, commitment, love for what you do, and incredible focus.- Jill Eber
Both agree being honored amongst such an inspiring group of South Florida leaders was an afternoon not soon to be forgotten, and dedication to the community in concert to dedication to the profession was paramount in each definition of an influential business woman.
