Buy, Sell

“Bee Gee Maurice Gibb is set to buy a waterfront estate on gated La Gorce Island. Deal hasn’t closed, but the house was on the market for $9.5 million. Six-bedroom main house, four-bedroom guesthouse with a cabana, three-bedroom staff quarters, pool, dock and a splendid view of downtown Miami. Famed architect Rusell T. Pancoast designed it in the early ‘50s for 3M founder William McKnight. Same home where John F. Kennedy sister Rosemary vacationed in February ’01. Wimbish Riteway is handling both parties – Jill Eber and Hertzberg for seller Walter Staudinger, and Jeri Jenkins for Gibbs. Maurice, 52, and wife Yvonne, 50, now live on Sunset Island II.
